This project adds the ability for up to 4 players to play Final Fantasy 5 (and the Career Day randomizer) online.

Outside of battle all players have control simultaneously. In battle, each player has a specific character that only they can control when their turn is active.

In addition, a special currency called GregBux is earned in each battle and can be used to apply various effects to their character, such as an instant heal, applying the haste status, or granting bonus experience.

One player must be the host and setup the server application using the Bizhawk 2.8 emulator with a copy of the SNES Final Fantasy 5 ROM. All players connect to the server through the client application, which handles connecting, input and special extras.

Please see the included README file for more detailed setup instructions.

This project is essentially complete except for a video streaming system to allow clients to view the host's game. Currently, it's recommended to use discord's video streaming service to see the game and communicate with other players.

If you're receiving errors when loading the server lua script or starting the server, make sure your SNES core is set to "BSNES" (set in the Config -> Cores -> SNES menu) and your Lua core is set to Lua+LuaInterface (set in Config -> Customize -> Advanced) and try restarting Bizhawk.

hello, this is cool as hell! but i was just wondering, does this work with project demi? i just dont wanna deal with the cutscenes for something multiplayer like this. thanks!

I haven't tested it with Project Demi (I didn't even know about it, so thanks for putting it on my radar!), but its changes seem very similar to the quality of life features in Career Day, so I imagine it would indeed work.
